Public Hearing Notice
Residents of the Town of Newbury and other interested persons, please note that on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at 8:15 p.m. at the Newbury Town Hall, 25 High Road, Newbury, MA, the Newbury Planning Board will hold a public hearing to consider proposed changes to the Code of the Town of Newbury, Chapter 97, Zoning, as follows:
- An amendment to ARTICLE X – GENERAL REGULATIONS, to add a new § 97-10.H. Temporary Moratorium on Medical Marijuana Treatment Centers/Registered Marijuana Dispensaries and related facilities through June 30, 2014.
- An amendment to ARTICLE V – SPECIAL PERMITS GENERAL, § 97-5.F. Ground-Mounted Solar Photovoltaic Installations, to correct scrivener’s errors in the provisions regarding Site Plan Review, § 97-5.F.(5)(a), (c), (d), and (e), in order to clarify that the Planning Board is the body responsible for Site Plan Review for ground-mounted solar PV installations occupying at least ¼ acres of land but less than two acres of land and to change references to Newbury’s Zoning By-Law from plural to singular.
